Caipiroska is a variant of the Brazilian Caipirinha cocktail where the cachaça is replaced by vodka hence its Russian-sounding name. This recipe, also called Caipivodka, is even popular in Brazilian bars and clubs. A Caipiroska and its small pieces of lime that gives it its characteristic taste.
Ingredients
- 5 cl of Vodka
- 3 teaspoon powdered sugar
- 1 Lime (fruit)
Preparation
Cut the lime into 4 quarters and remove the white center which brings bitterness. Cut the quarters into small pieces and put them in a whiskey glass. Add the cane sugar and crush everything with a muddler. Mix well to dissolve the sugar in the lemon juice. Fill the glass to the rim of crushed ice and pour the vodka. Mix gently and serve with a straw.
You can change the amount of sugar to get a less full-bodied cocktail but add it before the ice otherwise it will not dissolve.
To prepare a Caipiroska for 10, 20, 30 or 40 people, simply multiply the amounts indicated in the original recipe by the number of glasses desired.
